Reports
One of the main features of HydroDCS is to display timeseries data. To do this, it displays the data in web based reports. Most of the reports on the HydroDCS can be created and customized by the operator user. These reports are based on predetermined templates that come by default on the HydroDCS. New templates are always being developed, but the users can only create and customize reports based on templates.
Viewing a Report
A total list of the reports can be found by using the "Reports and Tables" drop-down and selecting "Reports". Here, you can see every report that has been created. They are separated into different sections based on the report template. If you click the report name (the blue link), you will be taken to the live version of that report.
NOTE - If you are logged in as either the operator or controller, if you are viewing the list of reports, you can also set the homepage report here, as well as download any report config. The reason you would want to download a report config is if you want to upload the same report to a different HydroDCS.
Creating or Editing a Report
To create a report, the user must be logged in as either an operator or a controller. Using the profile drop-down, navigate to "Create/Modify Report". This will open a page displaying a list of all of the report templates. Here you can either choose to create a new report by clicking the "New" button, or you can edit an already existing report by selecting a report in the drop-down and clicking the "Edit" button.
Uploading a Report
To upload a report, you must be logged in as either an operator or controller. Once logged in, use the profile drop-down and navigate to "Upload Report". Here you can upload a previously downloaded report.
NOTE - These reports have a ".json" file extension and they can be downloaded on the Reports page.
Configuring a Homepage Report
To navigate to your homepage, click the left-most link in the menu (by default, it is titled HydroDCS; however, a user can change the the HydroDCS Identifier in the Edit Settings page). You may or may not have a home page configured. If you don't have one configured, it will bring you to the "Status" page. If you do have one configured, it will bring you to a report that was selected to be the HydroDCS homepage.
To configure or remove a homepage, you need to be logged in as either an operator or a controller. Then, using the "Reports and Tables" menu drop-down, navigate to "Reports". A list of all of the reports will be displayed here. Click "Make Homepage" to set the corresponding report as the homepage for this HydroDCS. Click "Stop Using as Homepage" to stop using the report as the homepage.
NOTE - you can only have one homepage configured at any one time for the HydroDCS.
Report Types
There a different reports available.
DamRiverWeather
This report displays data from dams, rivers, and weather stations. The dams are positioned at the top of the report, while the rivers are in the middle, and the weather stations are at the bottom.
DoubleDamRiverWeather
This report is simply two DamRiverWeather reports side by side.
SouthernWillametteSummary
This report is a display of the Southern Willamette. It contains current values, as well as site metadata. If there is metadata set for the site, the report will highlight the data based on the corresponding metadata.
Fully Customizable
Similar to the DamRiverWeather report but with increased control over site/parameter groupings and which sensors are included in the report.
