Configuring the IP Address
Must be logged in as controller
Using the profile drop-down, navigate to "Operator > Set IP Address".
This is the page where you can set the Ethernet port IP Addresses of the HydroDCS. To change the IP Address, select the Ethernet port of which you want to change the IP Address (You can match the port to the physical HydroDCS by the image, which changes on the web page as you change ports). When you are ready to set the IP Address, click "Change IP Address". If you do this, there are a few things to note:
- You should only be doing this if you know what you are doing. This can severely hamper your ability to access the HydroDCS if you incorrectly configure this IP Address.
- When you click the "Change IP Address" button, network connectivity will go down momentarily. You may also need to reconfigure Ethernet cables or network configurations to regain connectivity, based on which ports have network access and how the current network is configured.
- If you want to see the configured IP Addresses, you can navigate to the Details page, accessible via the profile drop-down.
NOTE - You cannot change the IP Address of Port 2 (
). This port is always set to 192.168.1.128 so that it can be guaranteed that there will always be at least one way to connect to the HydroDCS.
