HRIT Images

The HydroDCS can be configured to directly download HRIT Images. If It is this page will be available to all users using the profile drop-down, navigate to "Image Explorer".

This page is divided by satellite. For each satellite is a row of static images representing the available image types for the given satellite. Clicking on one of these static images will open the gallery for that image type.

Gallery

The image gallery has two sets of controls. To the left of the gallery is the 'Image panel', and above the gallery is the 'Gallery controller'.

Image Panel:

Date Range: Paired date selectors that determine the chronological starting point and ending point of the gallery. The default is 1 day ago to now. Changing either selector will reload the gallery. Longer ranges may cause delayed response.

Size: Radio selector for the resolution used in the gallery. Options are; 'small' , 'medium', 'large' , 'extra large'. Changing this selection will reload the gallery with the new resolution. Size, especially when compounded with long date ranges, may have an impact on how quickly the gallery loads.

Type/Channel: The specific image type available, correlate to available channels on the selected satellite so available channels may vary by selected gallery. Changing selection will reload the gallery.

Gallery Controller:

Back: Return to the previously displayed image in the gallery.

Pause/Play: Stop or resume the gallery progression.

Advance: Skip to the next image in the gallery.

Download: Downloads a zip file of all images for the current gallery.
